It’s no secret that the Covid-19 pandemic is affecting the events industry worldwide. We want to clarify our updated terms and conditions to our clients about future bookings and provide key information for weddings, exhibitions and any type of event that will be affected in these tough times.

Coronavirus is progressing quickly and uncertainty can create anxiety and panic. We believe that transparency is key to surviving the current threat to our industry.

Booking deposits-

From Today, March 15— – we will not be taking any deposits for events booked in March, April & May. All current deposits are fully refundable until 5 working days before your event. We understand that unforeseen circumstances could mean a reduction in numbers and venue closures.

If you have any questions on event bookings & deposits, please WhatsApp our team using this link on your phone: WhatsApp Us!

Hygiene responsibilities-

As always, our team follow the strict hygiene laws set out by the government especially with the current coronavirus. As standard, we supply first aid kits, washing up equipment & follow best practice to keep our equipment clean and sanitised at every event. We also keep our equipment clean during all events. Guests can help by reusing glassware where possible or ordering larger quantities to avoid hand washing at events. We prefer all glassware to be professionally cleaned after our events in industrial machines by our friends at TM Event Hire.

Cash Bar Payments-

We currently have cash bar bookings in the coming months. If these events go ahead, preferred method of payment is contactless. We accept all methods of contactless payments and card types including Visa, MasterCard & American Express up to £30. We also accept anything over £30 via Apple Pay using our preferred til systems – Paypal Here

Marketing –

As the industry suffers over loss of earnings and cancellations, we have less frequent newsworthy posts on our social media and website. We want you to know we are still here to help with any booking enquiries and questions. Our staff and customers come first at our events and the way we see it is that we’re all in this together. We will continue to do what we can and continue business as normal at our usual high standard.

Lastly, I would like to thanks to my team for working tirelessly this last few weeks to run The Bar People during this uncertainty. We ask that all of customers and guests of events are patient with our continued efforts and that we whole heartedly have your safety in mind, with a focus on providing the best possible service so you can enjoy your events in the best possible way. No need to fuss, leave the drinks to us!

– Jake Lee, The Bar People
